group calendar, contacts, instant messaging, file storage and web document management. Robustness and functionally
are inhered from different open source projects that act as a building blocks for Zimbra and deliver a complete end-to-end
solution. In particular those are:

In addition to this Zimbra uses industry standard open protocols such as - SMTP, LMTP, SOAP, XML, IMAP, POP, iCal, CalDAV.
